Slow Food Huron Valley is offering a bit of help as part of our efforts to support our local food community through this difficult time. We have subsidized take-out promotions for local restaurants that in turn help support the local food system. See below for details!

Emergency Mini-Grants

In March, Slow Food Huron Valley allocated funds and also accepted donations to award COVID-19 rapid response emergency funds to local farms and food businesses. These mini-grants were intended to help some through this difficult time.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that farmers and food businesses in the greater Washtenaw County foodshed are experiencing financial hardship while unable to access their regular markets in SE Michigan.
