Slow Food Huron Valley's Mission
Our mission is to lead a food revolution through education. Slow Food Huron Valley (SFHV) identifies and promotes culinary artisans and local producers in Washtenaw County who engage in sustainable agriculture and are committed to the viability of the land. By forming an educational network which connects local producers to consumers, we help preserve and cultivate the culinary heritage of Southeastern Michigan and celebrate traditional Midwestern hospitality.

We invite your help and participation! We need people to lead Slow Food initiatives, organize events and to contribute to our website. If you have photos of beautiful, local, sustainable foods, and would like to share them here, let us know. If you have stories or reviews that you'd like to share, let us know! We want our new website help make connections between the wonderful producers in our food community and the people who want to support a "good, clean and fair" future for that food community.

SFHV Leadership Team
